Given the importance of this recent movement, the present study, using a descriptive-analytical method and utilizing library, documentary, and publication resources, attempts to examine the intellectual-cultural foundations and principles of part of this widespread movement, known as the religious reform movement, in the form of creating modern Islamic organizations. Organizations that were the product of their thinking in the arena of Iranian political-social developments during this tense period of contemporary Iranian history. The research findings show that these organizations tried to prioritize cultural activities and make religious tracts, newspapers, and magazines available to the public in accordance with the needs of the world at that time, especially the Islamic world and adapt Islamic invitation and propagation to the requirements of the time, so that, while reviving the declining religious customs and traditions, they can confront various forms of atheism and struggle against tyranny and colonialism.
