The intellectual model of the second Pahlavi government was to spread and promote non-religious lifestyle. The government sought to change the religious identity and expand the western and non-religious culture by using all available capacities and tools, especially by using the press and newspapers. The media and the press were the most important tools of the government to promote and spread the non-religious lifestyle. During this period, the press, especially Ettela’at and Ayandegan, were the standard bearers of this mission and did not stop at anything to achieve this goal. This research aims to investigate the promotion of western and non-Islamic lifestyle based on the documents and newspapers of the second Pahlavi period. In order to examine the issue, this hypothesis has been put to the test that "newspapers and magazines were the main tools of the government to culture life with a western and non-Islamic style in the second Pahlavi period". The findings of the research show that during the second Pahlavi era, the trend and desire for western life intensified and the main reason was that the government consciously and purposefully sought to change people's thinking and lifestyle and tried to promote non-religious lifestyle. Also, the findings of the research show that this period was the time of the peak of Western thinking in the society, so that all the tools and elements that were under the control and administration of the government promoted the non-religious lifestyle in a coordinated and integrated manner. Therefore, the problems and events of the Iranian society affected the lifestyle of the people and pushed them towards a westernized life.
